Cheap flights operated by Ryannair fly from Stansted (and from  a selection of UK regional airports) to  Bergerac. Flybe also offer flights from Exeter and Southampton to Bergerac. Easyjet, BA and Air France fly from a number of UK  airports to Toulouse.The cottages are 65 miles north of Toulouse, 90 miles east of Bordeaux and 45 miles south of Bergerac. The TGV stops at Agen about 25 miles to the west of the cottages.

Car hire is easily arranged as all the major companies are represented in the main towns and airports.

By sea the principal ports to consider are Calais, Cherbourg and Caen. There are fast ferry services from Poole and from Portsmouth. These catamaran services take cars as well and run in the summer months only. The ports are about 550 miles from the cottages. Overnight stops are from £30 per night either in chambre d'hotes or Logis de France small hotels. The larger chains of Ibis and Campanilles hotels are also represented in the larger towns.
